B is for Burmantofts

So far a straight forward alphabet - Burmantofts, despite the foreign sounding name it was named after the area in Leeds, South Yorkshire where it was based. They produced architectural and decorative faiences from c1859 until c1957. Decorative art pottery was produced from c1870 until c1905.

Typical impressed factory marks - back to back BF.
Mould name on larger items such as jardinieres and stick stands.
