Bernard Lionel Cuzner (1877 - 1956) was a silversmith and teacher, born in Warwickshire and at an early age apprenticed as a watchmaker to his father. However, after 2 years he abandoned this and went to work for a silversmith.He attended evening classes at the newly opened Birmingham School of Jewellery under the tutorship of Robert Catterson Smith and influence of Arthur Gaskin.
He designed for Liberty & Co from 1900 and Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co. He may also have worked at the Birmingham Guild of Handicraft. He was head of Metalwork at the Birmingham School of Art from 1910 until 1942 and continued to work as a silversmith until his death.
